How are we staffed?

Aiming to provide a nurturing learning environment, camps will be composed of 12 campers with Mrs. Lam, another teacher, and 2 high school helpers for a 3:1 ratio of students to teachers.

Drop off and Pick up

Art camps will be held in the Arts Studio at St. Gabriel School. Drop off and pick up will be at the lower yard gate to the right of the main building on 41st Ave. Drop off time starts at 8:50AM. Pick up time is 3PM. There is no extended care.

What would a day at camp look like?

The morning session will center around 1 main project a day, punctuated with a short outside/recess snack time on site, and a walk down to the playground for lunch and play time. In the afternoons, there will be choices of fun activities, including time to continue to work on the main project.

Field Trips

We will take advantage of the nearby parks and outdoor areas. When your spot has been confirmed, a permission slip that will cover all off-site walking excursions will be emailed to you to fill out and return.

What types of projects?

Mrs. Lam has a long list of projects that can only be done with a small number of kids and more time. Paper mache, printmaking, building with cardboard and other found materials, creating art outdoors, making sculptures, large scale painting, sewing and weaving, and art games to name a few…
